Dental Examination

Regular examinations are the key to detecting problems early when they can be treated more readily. At your initial consultation we do a detailed examination of not only your teeth and mouth but also screen you for other health problems which can be detected through your mouth.

It is possible that a visit to the dentist could provide an early warning for other serious general health problems.

We examine your face, lips, tongue, cheek, floor of mouth, palate, throat and neck for Oral Cancer or any other disease that may affect them. Any suspicious looking patches can be tested with a revolutionary brush biopsy technique.

We will examine you for decayed teeth, erosion, tooth wear from grinding, tooth brushing and the function of your bite. Finally, salivary glands, jaw joints, and dentures if used are also examined. X-rays of the teeth are taken in cases where necessary.
